ArtLover's Workshop - Carole Sakata - Ikebana "Leaves Manipulation"

ArtLover's workshops, presented by the Friends of TCM, are two-hour sessions designed for adults with busy schedules who'd like to do something creative. This next ArtLover's workshop "Leaves Manipulation, Sogetsu Ikebana Style" will be held at TCM on Saturday, October 13. The presenter is Carole Sakata and Ikebana teacher of 12 years in Manoa who is also the creator of the beautiful floral arrangements you've seen on the lanai at the Museum. 

Carole has been teaching ikebana for 12 years in Manoa and has been doing the beautiful floral arrangements for the Lanai at the Museum. She was born in Fukuoka, Japan and began her ikebana training in 1983 at the Tokyo prestigious Sogetsu School. Sogetsu is one of the three major schools of ikebana in Japan and a contemporary creative form of flower arranging. Carole will demonstrate and then will assist you in creating your own work. Supplies will be provided.
