ArtLover's Workshop - Gail Hazlehurst - Saturday, April 17, 2010

The Friends of TCM offered an Art Lovers’ Workshop in Pottery Painting in two sessions on Saturday, April 17. The workshops covered painting a design with underglazes (a variety of colored paints) to create a multi-colored detailed design on pre-formed dishes.

The morning workshop was for a parent and child. The afternoon workshop was for adults only. Participants painted a design on a free-form dish that was applied to the clay, then added a clear glaze for a sheet of glass to cover the whole dish.  The fee includes one pre-formed, free-form dish. A smaller dish is available for children for an additional fee.  The works were fired by Gail in her kiln and picked up at TCM after April 30.

FEES:  $25 per adult – included a pre-formed clay dish that was fired and ready to paint, a variety of underglazes and clear glazes, brushes and final kiln firing. The $25 fee was for an adult and child working on one large dish. A child working on their own smaller dish fee is $12.50.
