Our first Art Lovers Workshop was lead by Roy Venters as he showed us how to assemble glass into heart shapes.

 


ConTempo

This glittery spring gala is our premier fundraising event. It features the sale of selected contemporary art created by artists from the mainland as well as Hawai’i. A gourmet dinner and live music add to the festivities.

ConTempo 2010 was held April 10, at the Hawaii Convention Center.  Chair  Cheryl Hetherington and her team created a memorable event for all.

ArtSpree

It’s the best family event on the island! One Saturday in July, TCM is open free for the public to enjoy performing artists with music and dance, demonstrating artists in a variety of mediums, viewing galleries with docents and creating some unique art to take home.

The 2010 event and annual open house, ArtSpree, will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Museum grounds. The 17th annual ArtSpree 2010, presented by the Friends of TCM, will be again be chaired by Brigitte Hahn-Miller and her capable committee of volunteers.

Art Lovers Workshops

The Friends of TCM has begun providing workshops for adults, enabling them to come to the museum for a few hours and leave with an item that they have created. The workshops will cover a variety of media. No expertise is required, just a desire to create and have some fun.

MARCH 9, 2008 - Art Lovers' Workshop - Chris Reiner

The Friends of TCM sponsored another creative Art Lovers Workshop for adults at the museum. Art Lovers Workshop at The Contemporary Museum On Sunday, March 9, 2008.

Artist Chris Reiner taught how to create a sculpture from recycled materials, bits and bobs or any other item you would like to bring to the class.

No experience was required and only the desire to be creative is.
