ARTIST: Nicholas Bleecker

Nicholas Bleecker works in media created by the forces and grandeur of nature – his favorites being stone and wood. He is deeply impressed by the time and the intensity of natural power which has created our planet earth. When referring to stone he comments “It asks us to take a much longer view of movement and time and our relativity.” The same can be said for the cedar used here, split to reveal the years and layers of growth.
